Both gold and silver are colours that are always present in the fashion world. As often as seasons change, we switch between the two, depending on current trends. I would dare to say that there is no woman in Ireland who doesn't own a piece of silver or gold jewellery.

Designers must have got fed up with the accessories though and decided to use these two bad boys on trousers this season. Very daring, not a trend I would be crazy about, I fell for photos of skinny models totally rocking it and I got a pair for myself.

Although they're yet to leave the house, I tried putting them together with different pieces and so far this works best for me; paired with a plain shirt they look more simple than trashy and fur adds a bit of interest to the look. Since my legs are covered in silver I stayed clear of accessories as I reckon they should do the talking.

BTW my tan is pretty much gone, not sure why I look so dark here...

Pyjama Party

I remember the times I lived in Smithfield and most weekends I would look with amazement at groups of girls hanging out in the area or going shopping in nothing more than their pjs.

Few years later, 'Pyjama girls' came out and words such as 'fashion statement' and 'trend' could be often found in reviews or articles mentioning the movie. I was rather shocked and thought nothing of it as for me, it just didn't have anything to do with fashion.

A year on since the movie was released and all I can say is... I love pyjama pants!
I'm still unsure if I would call the pj girls around Smithfield (or Francis Str or any other part of Dublin for that matter) fashionable, but paired with a blazer or heels, pjs, can actually be fashionable!

The pair by Paul Smith is one of my recent obsessions..

Back from heaven

I don't want to bore you all to death with my hols, especially since I'm back to reality now and it doesn't make it easier for me either- looking at those pics.

The only thing is, I thought Thailand was heaven... and it was, absolutely amazing.
But... then there was Elsewhere.

A different type of heaven. A whole new level of relaxation and peace. Escape, as they also call it. With its' location being a well guarded secret, those few basic houses and tents have more character than many funky European hotels. No wonder it's known as a celebrity hideaway ...

In hippie Goa, Elsewhere was definitely the place to stay and I miss it already.
All this time to relax and think gave me some inspiration and the fact that I got back with an extra load of fashion literature, means that I promise, from today on, to blog about fashion and fashion only (well ok, I have 1 more country to go to and my plan is fulfilled, you'll stick with me for one more, will ya?).
