I remember when I started dating my boy and there was one item in his wardrobe that I hated from the moment I saw it: his Paul Smith cord trousers. When the time came and I felt like he won't dump me the minute I say it, I clearly expressed my feelings about the cords and they've been sitting at the back of his wardrobe since.
Why would I tell you that? There's a very good reason for it.
I have recently purchased a pair of cord trousers. I don't know why or how it happened but I picked them up in BT2's, tried them on and felt like keeping them (a common enough scenario). I knew I had a difficult conversation ahead of me back home when (not surprisingly) my boy remembered my previous hatred towards the very same item I just purchased.
Let's just say it's a trial and me and the cords are trying to make it work. I've been 'cordless' for years now so maybe it's a high time for change?
