'The closest thing to crazy'

Katie Melua's 'the closest thing to crazy' has always been one of my favourite songs. I thought of it after putting this outfit together. It's by far the most mishmash-ed outfit I've ever created.
I liked Topshop's recent window display where cycling shorts were paired with a very similar to mine, printed pencil skirt, a clashing top and a pair of high-heeled sandals so I drew my inspiration from it.

After reading so much about the new sporty style and thinking that there's no way I'm going sporty, I thought cycling shorts and a pencil skirt might as well be as far as I will go. I felt like this ensemble needed a bit more structure and something smarter to bring it all together so I added a very structured vintage blazer and a satchel.

I've looked at it over and over again and first I though it's simply crazy, now I think I like it more and more.
