Series: 9-to-5

Every now and then I take pics of my 9-to-5 outfits trying to help myself work on them and hopefully, in some way, helping one or two other ladies who also feel that day dressing (especially to work) can be a real challenge! Here's my little 'chronicle' of these...

I was 10 (maybe less..) when I read a book that seriously influenced my way of thinking. Since reading "Never say never" (I can't remember the author but it was long before Melissa Hill, which I shouldn't probably admit) I always thought twice before I said I'd never do something.

I still believe that nine to five dressing is one of the biggest challenges many fashion-conscious ladies face every day. I will try to get back to my 9-to-5s and hopefully give you some ideas on how to fight that battle ;)                  [Read more]

# Sunshine

Although it doesn't feel like spring just yet and I was really lucky to get the photos taken in such good light, in preparation for what I hope to be a great summer (looks like I'll spend all of it in Dublin so it better be;) I searched for a 9-to-5 outfit that would be a bit more on the bright side.

I'm not sure whether my interest in houndstooth came before or after my interest with Salvatore Ferragamo. As far as I can see, it was this brand that brought this classic print back into fashion so I may just say it was simultaneous.

I've just realised my last 9-to-5 outfit was really summery which is not a good sign when we're pretty much in autumn!

I haven't stopped working so here's my take on working wardrobe again, fresh from this morning ;)

# Summer

Trying to enjoy the first (possibly last) days of summer this year and considering the weather forecast which confirms that we may never see the sun again, I decided to wear a silk skirt yesterday. I'm not even sure if I ever used it before so I was quite happy to replace my standard, tried and tested 9to5s and wear something more summery.

                     # brown, beige, brown

I'm falling a bit behind with my blogging recently but I promise to get better soon! I actually have some plans and little additions I would like to make in here, so a little bit of patience and you might find that it was all worth it at the end.. ;)

For the moment though back to Dublin, back to work and unevitably, back to reality.

One of the comments most commonly used by my boy when I (try to) make sarcastic comments is: smarty pants (BTW I am funny, he just doesn't get it...;).

I think I embraced that description so much that I recently went totally crazy for pants... in a smart way. How smart? Well..

We're back to working wardrobe again (inevitably). This time very unlike myself - trousers... wider leg, wide top... a tad more 70s?possibly. Or possibly I'm just imaging it ;)

I'm beginning to think that if I keep taking pictures of my clothes I'll soon get rid of my whole wardrobe ;P I just never seem to like the way they look when I look back at the photos... that can't be a good thing?!

Anyway, again one of my working outfits... here we go

Here we go again-> work. Very simple and hmm spectacular-not outfit but a sort of basic that, well, has to be revisited every now and then :) to make sure I don't look too goodie goodie I messed up my hair and layered on necklaces!

I hate people who complain about something but don't do anything about it themselves.

And here I am giving out about lack of styling tips re: dressing for work. To prove myself wrong I will try to start and post work outfits (ok, ok sounds boring but stay positive; I will blog about my trips too ;)

So that's a very quick sneak peek at what I wore yesterday. Less the glasses and the crazy bun of course ;)
